2 youth and an observer took part at this event, the youth made some new friends and also learned new ideas for our local youth council. This event was held in Brandon, MB at the Victoria Inn. On July 19 to the 21st was the 26th Annual Youth Forum.

Wildlife, Fisheries and Water Stewardship Leadership

17 youth participants, 4 staff, 2 elders and 3 volunteers with numerous visitors. We partnered with Manitoba Conservation, who informed us about the fishing and campgrounds regulations. At the end of July going to August we had our amazing camping weekend at the Wellman Lake’s Regatta Bay in Duck Mountain Provincial Park in the heart of Manitoba’s Parkland Region.

R.C.M.P Depot Tour

8 youth 16+ interested in learning about Law Enforcement and possible future careers along with 2 chaperons attend the overnight trip. It was a wonderful site and learning experience. We even got to see one of our youth council members taking part in the summer program the Depot has to offer. We left there with a renowned for law enforcement. This was held at the RCMP Heritage Centre in Regina, SK on August 20th to 21st.

Youth Group Bowling Party

The youth had a blast at the bowling party on March 12, 2016. Lots of fun, lots of food and lots of prizes.

Youth Council Masquerade Community Ball


The Youth Council from The Elbert Chartrand Friendship Centre hosted a Formal Attire Masquerade Ball for the Community. On Saturday, January 23rd at 6:00 pm to 10:30 pm. Everyone was Welcome! The Masquerade Ball was held at The Museum. Music by Aurora.




Youth Council Christmas Party

Christmas Party was a great turn out, 30 in attendance and a couple of visitors. Elvira and Vanessa cooked a Turkey Dinner, the meat balls were to die for! We played games like Build a Snowman, Cotton Ball Game, Pantyhose Reindeer Antlers and Christmas Trivia. Everyone had an amazing time, lots of fun and laughs. And The Youth Council would like to wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and Happy New Years. 🙂
